2011年4月8日，50多个国家常驻联合国大使夫人联袂在中国常驻联合国代表团举行慈善筹款会，李国栋教授的书法作品“大爱无疆”作为来自中国的礼物，以最高价5000美元拍出，成为当天拍卖价格最高的物件，所得善款全部捐出作为慈善用途。图为拍卖结束后，联合国秘书长潘基文的夫人柳淳泽（右五）和中国常驻联合国代表李保东大使的夫人侣海林（左五）手持李国栋教授墨宝与华人艺术家及社区领袖合影留念。
